Life has surely been full of questions lately... if you're anything like me, you have been feeling stressed, frustrated, worried, angry, confused... there are so many emotions that this "new normal" has given us.
It's been a while since I have created new content. There has been so much craziness going on, as you already know! Now more than ever, teachers have a lot on their plates and a lot to juggle.
What will school look like in the fall? What can we do to keep everyone, children and adults alike, safe? Will my job be secure? Will we ever get back to the way things used to be?!
These are just some of the many questions that have been wracking my brain over the past few months, and I'm sure that's the same for you! I decided to make this post to share, from one teacher to another, what has helped me with all of the unknown.
My Support System: To me, nothing is more important than family. I know I can count on them to be there and to help with anything that I am dealing with. Find your own support system, whoever they may be, because they will be there for you!
My Teacher Friends & Co-Workers: These are the people who know exactly what it is like to be a teacher. Go to them to ask for help, support, just to talk...they are in the same boat as you!
My Daily Comforts: Whether it is curling up with a good book and a blanket, taking a walk around the neighborhood, talking to a friend on the phone, knitting, or making a new recipe, these are some things that I have enjoyed. Find something that brings you comfort and a sense of security.
This is just a little glimpse into the calm that has resulted from the craziness. Find your calm... your support system, your co-workers, your comforts... and hold onto those to get you through.
